DMI 2.0 may be over for the year, but DMI Corporate has been working all summer long to provide you with fun Office games while you wait for our third edition to start in September. The deadline for completing all Summmer Splash games is THIS MONDAY, August 31st at 9 AM PT/12 PM ET if you want to be eligible for a prize.

HAVEN’T SPENT ALL YOUR SCHRUTEBUCKS FROM DMI 2.0? DO IT NOW

Many of you may have been away from Dunder Mifflin Infinity this summer. We’ve kept everyone’s SchruteBucks intact over the past four months, but everyone’s totals WILL be reset at 11:59 PT Monday, Aug. 31, 2009 in preparation for DMI 3.0. In fact, profiles will not be accessible during the transitional period between Sept. 1st and the launch of DMI 3.0 before The Office’s Season 6 premiere. So, you have between now and end of day Monday to spend your remaining SchruteBucks. All your purchases – both for employees who played DMI 2.0 and 1.0 – will be waiting for you when the site re-opens in a couple weeks.

WHAT HAPPENS BETWEEN NOW AND DUNDER MIFFLIN INFINITY 3.0?
WHAT CHANGES ARE IN STORE?

During the transitional period between Sept 1st and the launch of DMI 3.0, the site will be closed for updates. This means that the homepage, task page, stats, personal and branch profile pages will no longer be accessible. The DMI Forum WILL still remain open during this period, however. Make sure you have http://boards.dundermifflininfinity.com bookmarked in case you want to chat with our DMI employees during this time.

When DMI 3.0 opens for business, expect some new twists to the game, and some aspects that will remain unchanged. Everyone’s SchruteBuck totals will be reset in order to preserve fairness in DMI 3.0. All employees will be removed from their branches and, unlike in years past, will have to earn a branch position in the first few weeks of the game. Branch applications will not be accepted on Day 1. Any desk items purchased before Sept. 1st will remain on your virtual desk, however. DMI itself will become more friendly to casual fans of “The Office” – what this means is that prize giveaways will happen more often and won’t only be restricted to totals accumulated over months of participation. We want DMI to be a fun place where Office fans can play Dunder Mifflin games, get creative, and most importantly: participate in the most vibrant, engaging “Office” fan community on the Web!
